A fully loaded Fiesta ST (well, almost fully loaded [stripes > sunroof]) goes for $32k, eight grand more than a stock ST, and more than twice as much as a base Fiesta (which goes for around $14k). The Focus ST is no better, either: it starts at $30k, and goes up to nearly $40k (once again, sunroofs are for nerds). Maybe you're not supposed to fully option these things...

just canada. I hate that our car prices so so much higher then the americans. andhow expensive our insurance is. oh well. we can import stuff after 15 years and we have good healthcare, so it (kinda?) balances out

The healthcare is important for when you torque-steer into a moose.
The largest price disparity I've seen on a car was around $50k.

The stripes are made with unicorn dreams and pixie farts, and shave half a second off my autocross time. Definitely worth it.

It's definitely the country. I'm jealous of that price.

I was about to SAY! $30k opens up a lot more options in the car market.

Yeah. After tax the base STI is $45k, and the sport-tech package puts it up to $53k. It's crazy.

The Oppo ST club is almost like a cult at this point.

Some of that disparity between U.S. and Canuckistan price is due to currency conversion as well. For example, if I were to take a big bag of American money, which still folds properly because it's made of paper/cloth AS GOD INTENDED, and head up to Mapleland for one of those $32k Fiestas, it would only take 28,700 of my magical papercloth to buy it.
